TheBAPS is a 3D printing and design studio based in Straubing, specializing in high-quality FDM prints – from prototypes and spare parts to small-batch production.

We accept all common 3D formats: STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP and IGES. For 2D drawings, DXF and PDF are supported. Please ensure your model is watertight and scaled correctly.

Yes! Send us a photo or the original part. We digitally reconstruct it via reverse engineering or 3D scanning and create the CAD model for printing.

We process the following FDM plastics in-house:

• PLA – precise & eco-friendly
• PETG – strong & temperature-resistant
• ASA – UV & weather resistant
• TPU – flexible & shock-absorbing
• PETG-CF – carbon fiber reinforced for technical parts

Resin and metal prints are available via partner companies.

Our standard tolerances are ±0.2 mm. For precision parts we can print layer heights as fine as 0.08 mm. We also offer post-processing (e.g. sanding, drilling, thread cutting).

Our largest machines allow parts up to 350 × 350 × 400 mm in one piece. Larger objects can be split and assembled afterwards.

After receiving your request, we review your model, send you a quote, and start printing once you approve. You will receive updates by email when your project is completed.

Standard prints are usually ready within 48 hours. Shipping within Germany takes 2–4 business days. Express production is available on request.

Yes! Pickup in Straubing is possible by appointment – ideal if you want to save shipping costs or inspect your part immediately.

The price is based on print time, material usage, complexity and any post-processing. There is no minimum order quantity – you can order a single part. Due to setup and print time, a single order starts at around €40; you always receive an exact, binding quote before we begin printing.

Payment is handled securely by credit/debit card and other payment methods supported by Stripe. For regular customers, subscriptions with monthly billing are also available.

We inspect every part carefully. If an issue occurs (e.g. warping, incorrect dimensions), we re-print the part for free or offer credit.

We assist with design, print settings or model preparation – by phone, email or through our online support system.
